Carolina Favaloro

CAROLINA FAVALORO
Tax Associate

Carolina accomplished her BSc in Economics from LIUC University (Italy), during which she had the opportunity to study abroad for one year at the University of Hertfordshire. Before joining Lancaster Knox she had been working in another accountancy firm based in London where she was involved in Statutory Audits, Assurance Reviews and the production of year-end financial accounts.

Her positive and ambitious attitude encouraged her to move to London to pursue an MSc in Accounting and Management at Queen Mary University of London and to kick-start her professional career.

Her passion towards the Accounting industry, especially Taxation, is the result of the academic path she has pursued over the years, focusing particularly on the areas of; the implications of Tax Residency and the taxation of the Digital Economy for her degree dissertations.

Since joining Lancaster Knox, she has been assisting in cases investigated by HMRC including those under Code of Practice 9 (civil investigations of tax fraud), Code of Practice 8 (where large amounts of tax are contended), voluntary disclosures involving onshore and offshore assets and a wide range of large business enquiries.

Currently, she is pursuing the Tax Pathway: the Association of Taxation Technicians (“ATT”) and Chartered Tax Advisor (“CTA”) joint qualification.
